ScaleGrowth's state-of-the-art Data Engine lets you take your entire existing database of Listings and quickly Import it within minutes, using our simple yet powerful Data Load Wizard.
But before we can Import, you have to Export from wherever your data lives.
- Let's say we want to import the Google Sheet of Job listings from the cover image above as an example.
- Please note that two columns are required: a column with Owner Contact Emails (in green above), and a column with any kind of Unique IDs for each row (in purple above)
💡💡💡 You don't need to worry about Offer Owners having ScaleGrowth accounts – our system will magically create them for any Owner Contact Email missing one. 💡💡💡
💡💡💡 The reason Unique IDs are important is so you can re-run an updated version of the Data Load later, and it can map updates to the right Listings. 💡💡💡
- In order to Import the Listings, we will need to have them in a CSV file format.
- CSV stands for Comma Separated Values, and is the gold standard data import/export format.
- Most spreadsheets, CRMs, or databases support exporting into a CSV:
To Import your Listings, start by Creating a Custom Listings Space or a Marketplace, then:
- Log into ScaleGrowth with your Admin or Moderator account.
- Make sure you are in your Admin view – you can use the Switch Role menu to get there.
- Head to Manage → [[Offer]] Data Loads
- Here you will find a Data Load Wizard already generated for your Data Model:
- Click "Upload" under the Actions column to begin.
- On the next page, upload your CSV file, and hit "Save"
- You will come back to the Data Load Wizard view – click "Map Fields":
- This launches our Wizard that guides you to map & configure everything in 5 easy steps:
- Please leave the Data separator be as "," unless you are an expert.
- All uploaded listings need an Owner – it can be Admin, Member or (for 2-sided platforms) Provider.
- Here, please select the CSV spreadsheet column that has the Owner's Contact Email.
- Here, please select which Listings Space you are loading into.
- Known Issue Workaround: if you get this screen, just hit "Next" again.
- This is where you actually map the various Listing fields to CSV Spreadsheet columns.
- Please remember that Customer Unique ID is required.
💡💡💡 Yes, you can Data Load files & images like the Cover Image above – as long as your CSV Spreadsheet contains a link to the file or the image that does not require any login to access. Our data engine will go grab the file or image from the link, download it, process it to optimize performance in case of images, and then upload to host on ScaleGrowth. 💡💡💡

- You will come back to the Data Load Wizard view – click "Test Run":
- You will go to this view where you can monitor your Data Load Running:
- Once it shows the last button "Or here to go back to the Data Load list", click on it:
- You can click the link under the Name column to go see the details of what was done.
- This is a good idea to check if there are any Data issues our Engine uncovered during the Test Run.
- If there is any error in the status columns, please reach out to your ScaleGrowth account manager.
- If there were no errors, you can now proceed by clicking on the "LIVE Run".
- Note that our system saves a log record of each Data Load you complete, for your future reference.
