About the Event:

Elizabeth Yin had never considered becoming an angel investor for many years. In so many ways she was thrown into it because she had previously been an entrepreneur. The whole thought of angel investing just seem so daunting and a good way to lose your money.

But after reviewing ~30k decks, backing several hundred startup companies, and mentoring many more, Elizabeth was convinced there is a way to systematically learn how to angel invest and start with small checks as you start.

This talk will go through her journey as an angel investor and will also cover tactical tips on how to get started with Angel investing.

Elizabeth learned a lot building an angel investing portfolio with substantial returns. She will helps demystify angel investing so that if you’re interested in getting started, it’s a little easier for you.


About Our Speaker:

Elizabeth Yin is a co-founder and General Partner at Hustle Fund, a pre-seed fund for software entrepreneurs. Previously, Elizabeth was a partner at 500 Startups where she invested in seed stage companies and ran the Mountain View accelerator. In a prior life, Elizabeth co-founded and ran an adtech company called LaunchBit (acq 2014). Elizabeth has a BSEE from Stanford and an MBA from MIT Sloan.
