Sometimes, a user might end up joining on the Wrong Side of a 2-Sided Marketplace or a Mentorship Program.
Not to worry, ScaleGrowth gives you a few good options to address this!
ScaleGrowth Best Practice Recommendation:
- If the user started Onboarding by mistake and abandoned it, we recommend simply Removing their Profile.
- This will hide the wrong side of the Marketplace / Program from them, and prevent future confusion.
- To do this, learn how to Remove a Member Profile
💡💡💡 For 2-Sided Marketplaces or Mentorship Programs, you can follow similar steps to Remove a Provider Profile on the other side as well. 💡💡💡
- If the user intentionally signed up on the wrong side or spent time carefully filling out Onboarding, we recommend Moving them into a special User Group.
- This way, they don't get the potentially jarring experience of their Profile being reset after all the effort.
- Also, you have all such users saved in a special User Group in case you decide to engage them in a particular way later.
- To do this, learn how to Create a User Group, to Add Members to a User Group, and to Remove Members from a User Group.
💡💡💡 For 2-Sided Marketplaces or Mentorship Programs, you can follow similar steps to Create Provider User Groups and Add/Remove Providers from them on the other side as well. 💡💡💡
- Lastly, head to your Directory and click the Settings menu in top right.
- Double-check that your special User Group is excluded under various rules here.
